WHere is a home-style version of a cocktail from a new cocktail list. It's a large-volume prepared mix that's packed full of flavours of the Christmas time, rendering it excellent for your festive gathering. Save the extra syrup you can use for brunch beverages, sweets, or for another batch of the drink.

Yields 10 people
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Drink (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Directions
Making the Cordial: Put every components into a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Next, turn off the heat and leave to cool down completely. Pour into a sealable bottle, cap it and store chilled, it will last for around a month.
To make Batch Mix: Combine every spirits and syrup in a large bottle, allow it to infuse for one hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, so it's completely strained.
To serve: Pour 85ml from the premix into a mixing glass containing ice, and agitate carefully for one minute to cool it down. Filter into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with a few cranberries and complete it with a brief mist of mandarin oil over the drink.
